The US Senate passed the Comprehensive Addiction & Recovery Act (CARA) through Cloture today with an overwhelming 90-2 vote! The final vote will come later today and then passed to the President’s desk to be signed into law. Recovery advocacy makes history! Your voices have helped to pass this expansive legislation. We have successfully educated our policymakers about the epidemic that is devastating our nation. We also showed them that long-term recovery is a reality for over 23 million Americans!
